About AirplaneSpotters

AirplaneSpotters is a community-driven aviation photography platform. Spotters from Türkiye and around the world share their aircraft photography, catalogue the aircraft they've seen, and get feedback from people who care about the same details they do.

What we do

Every photo uploaded here is reviewed by a screener before it goes live. That takes longer than posting to social media, and that's the point — it keeps the standard high and means an accepted photo is worth something. Our photo guidelines explain exactly what screeners look for.

Alongside the gallery we maintain an aircraft database built from the community's own sightings. Every registration photographed gets its own page collecting each shot of that airframe, so you can follow an aircraft across operators, liveries, and years.

Getting involved

Anyone can browse. To upload, you need a free account — new members start at ten uploads per day, rising as their accepted photos add up. Photographers keep full copyright of everything they post; we display it with a credit badge and nothing more.

We also run regular contests and photo votes, award badges for milestones like first catches and airport variety, and feature standout work as Photo of the Day, Photo of the Week, and Screeners' Choice.
